Crime Blotter 06/15/12

Information below is provided to The Recorder by the Porterville Police Department. It is noted that only arrests are reported and the suspects have not been found guilty of any crime.

Under the Influence / Warrant Arrest
Officers were attempting a warrant services at the Palm Tree when subjects began to flee out of a window. Arrested for being actively under the influence were Robert Ybarra, 37, Corey Mozdir, 36, and Isabel Magana, 31. All were cited and released from the police department. Also contacted was Frank Navarette, 57, who had an active parole hold. Johnny Navarette, 30, and Dana Montgomery, 29, each had two felony warrants. All three were booked into jail.

Warrant Arrest
Officers contacted Shawna Hopper, 39, as a passenger in a vehicle during a traffic stop. She had three outstanding warrants; for which she was arrested and booked into jail.

Stolen Motor Vehicle
Officers responded to the 100 block of South H Street regarding a stolen motor vehicle. The victim reported that a gray 1997 Honda Civic had been stolen over night.

Residential Burglary
Officers responded to a residence in the 300 block of South H Street regarding a residential burglary. The victim stated that sometime today unknown suspect(s) entered her residence and took electronics.

Domestic Assault / Brandishing
Officers responded to a residence in the 200 block of East River Avenue to check the welfare of a female who was said to have been fighting with her boyfriend. She reported having her hair pulled and a knife brandished at her in a threatening manner. The suspect was not on scene and is being sought.

Stolen Motor Vehicle
Officers responded to the 600 block of West Putnam Avenue regarding a stolen motor vehicle. The victim reported that her boyfriend, Richard Sam, 24, stole her black 1999 Acura TL.

DUI
Officers conducted a traffic stop at Applegate’s Market and contacted Anthony Garfield, 20. He was determined to be DUI, he was arrested and later cited.
