THE PORTERVILLE RECORDER

EARLIMART — Perry Orchard and Land Development’s almond orchard was hit by thieves who got away with a gear head pump, drive shaft and flywheel.

The theft occurred sometime between 10 a.m. Tuesday and 2 p.m. Wednesday in the 6900 block of Road 120, the Tulare County Sheriff's Department reports.

When deputies responded to the area they found a juvenile on an ATV who was in possession of the stolen flywheel, the Sheriff's Department reports.

Evidence found at the scene reportedly suggested the juvenile was involved in the theft of the stolen items, which have an estimated value of $3,000.

The juvenile was booked into Juvenile Hall on suspicion of grand theft and possession of stolen property.
