Mayor to give State of the City address Friday

Porterville Mayor Virginia Gurrola will deliver her State of the City address Friday, during the Porterville Chamber of Commerce’s December First Friday Coffee networking meeting.

The morning will begin at 7 a.m., in the Galaxy 9 Theatre lobby. Attendees will receive a complimentary continental breakfast and will have an opportunity to network and build business relationships.

The program starts at 7:30 a.m., with brief and informational presentations from the chamber, a legislative update and the annual State of the City Address.

The city’s outstanding businesses will also be recognized.

The chamber will also provide attendees with door prizes as the meeting comes to a close, at around 8:15 a.m.

The City of Porterville is a sponsor of the December networking meeting and uses the venue as an opportunity to highlight the contributions of local businesses. The event is open to chamber members and their guests.

Galaxy 9 Theatre is located at 631 N. Indiana St.
