"Best of Show" student art exhibit starts today

Tulare County Office of Education’s annual “Best of Show” Student Art Exhibition opens today in the TCOE Education Center, 2637 W. Burrel Ave., Visalia.

The artwork — more than 125 paintings, drawings and sculptures from numerous schools throughout Tulare County — can be viewed from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday through March 28.

A reception honoring the students selected for the “Best of Show” exhibit will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. March 15.

Student artists, their families and members of the public are invited to view the student artwork at the reception.

“The annual art exhibitions involve students from kindergarten through high school,” said Jim Vidak, Tulare County superintendent of schools. “It is a wonderful program that celebrates artistic potential in all ages.”
