Authorities arrest Terra Bella man in Sunday's stabbing
The Tulare County Sheriff’s Department has arrested a 42-year-old Terra Bella man who they say tried to murder Porterville resident Alexander Campos.
According to a TCSD report, at 11:38 p.m. sheriffs were dispatched to the Terra Bella California Department of Forestry station, where Campos was seeking medical treatment. While responding to the call, Campos left the station and drove toward Porterville.
Deputies spotted him near the intersection of Orange Avenue and Main Street in Porterville, where they contacted him and provided him with emergency medical aid. Campos had multiple stab wounds, and was transported to Sierra View District Hospital for treatment, according to the TCSD.
According to the report, detectives subsequently determined that the suspect was Manuel Salinas.
At 3:15 p.m. Friday, detectives booked Salinas into the Tulare County Main Jail on suspicion of attempted murder and terrorist threats.
