Bank of the Sierra to host credit card fraud pevention seminar

Bank of the Sierra, in partnership with the Downtown Visalians, will host a credit card fraud prevention seminar at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Bank of the Sierra’s Visalia Main Street Branch, 128 E. Main St.

The seminar will inform local merchants how to protect their businesses from credit card fraud.

The seminar will also explore recent fraud trends and merchant responsibilities.

Credit card fraud expert John Kirkpatrick, senior vice president/chief informational officer, TransFirst, LLC will be the keynote speaker.

All local merchants and business owners are encouraged to attend the free seminar. Refreshments will be provided.

Kirkpatrick has more than 25 years of leadership experience developing and implementing complex business strategies. He oversees the company’s information and technology, including payment gateways and all aspects of transaction processing such as security, data center operations, software engineering, quality assurance and data analysis.
