THE PORTERVILLE RECORDER

Planning is underway, and booth reservations are being accepted, for the Porterville Chamber of Commerce 10th Annual Business Showcase & Taste of Porterville Expo to be held on Sept. 22. The 2009 Showcase will  be held at the Veteran’s Memorial Building on Olive Avenue.

The event is a popular business to business marketing activity.

The Business Showcase & Taste of Porterville is the opportunity for businesses to showcase their products and services to other businesses and the community.

Participants are provided with booth space at the event and have the occasion to promote their businesses through networking by distributing business cards and literature along with other unique promotional items.

Businesses and non-profits are encouraged to set-up table-top displays to enhance the promotion of their products/services.

Attendance in 2008 again exceeded 400, and event organizers expect to see an increase in 2009.  Many local Chamber member restaurants will return to feature food sampling to showcase their specialties.

Businesses or organizations interested in participating in the Business Showcase & Taste of Porterville this September should contact the Chamber office for registration information.

Chamber membership and booth registration are required.

Presently, this event is made possible by Eagle Mountain Casino/Tule River Tribal Council, Finance & Thrift Company, Galaxy 9 Theatre, KTIP Radio, The Porterville Recorder, and Z104.9.

Currently over 700 members strong, the Porterville Chamber has been promoting the community and a strong local economy for over 100 years.

In addition to Business Showcase participation, chamber membership provides a multitude of benefits as a return on your investment.

Showcase booth space is limited and normally sells out, so early registration is recommended in order to confirm participation.

For more information, call the chamber office at 784-7502.
