Man found dead in orchard near Farmersville

The Tulare County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the death of a man whose body was found in an orchard by a field worker Sunday afternoon.

The incident occurred in the 1200 block of Visalia Road about 2:30 p.m. The man was in his late teens or early 20s. He appeared to have been shot, the sheriff’s department said.

Detectives with the sheriff’s Violent Crimes Unit are heading up the investigation.
