Police find drugs during home search

THE PORTERVILLE RECORDER

A man was arrested after detectives served a search warrant at his home and reportedly found drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Porterville police served a search warrant at 2 p.m. Dec. 19 on the 1000 block of North Highland Street at the residence of 40-year-old  Chris Marean. Police released information about the case on Wednesday.

During the search, investigators allegedly found about 35 grams of suspected marijuana packaged for sale.

They also found digital scales, packaging material and illegal smoking devises, authorities report.

Marean was arrested and booked on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale, maintaining a residence where an illegal substance is being sold and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.

Marean was being held in lieu of a $50,000 bail.
