Free movie screening on childhood obesity.

The University of California Cooperative Extension and FoodLink of Tulare County are screening a portion of the documentary “Weight of the Nation” to discuss childhood obesity. The part of the film that will be shown centers on the segment “Children in Crisis.” Issues to be discussed include nutrition and physical activity.

The screening will take place from 1 to 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21, at the Agriculture Building Auditorium at 4437 S. Laspina Street.

Healthy recipe books will be given out to the first 50 people.
