‘Alice in Wonderland' set for March 22, 23
University Preparatory High School students will offer three public shows, March 22 and 23, of Alice in Wonderland at the Enchanted Playhouse Theater, 307 E. Main St., Visalia.
The performances are slated for 7 p.m. Friday and Saturday. In addition, there is a 1:30 matinee scheduled for Saturday.
Alice in Wonderland was adapted, directed and produced by Dr. Tara Williams of University Preparatory High School with a creative cast of students, staff, and family members. Songs were written by Raymond Benson and Henry Savile Clark.
Tickets are $10 a person and available at the theater box office before each performance or at the University Preparatory High School office, in the Mariposa building on the Visalia COS campus, during regular school hours. All proceeds support the UPHS drama program.
UPHS was created by the Tulare County Office of Education (TCOE) – in partnership with the College of the Sequoias – as a high-performance, free, public high school. UPHS welcomes all highly-motivated students looking for an accelerated and rigorous academic program, including students who may be the first in their family to attend college. UPHS students experience their high school years on the COS campus, participate in college classes and earn college credits. This approach, known as an “early college high school,” is a time-tested method proven to increase academic success and college readiness.
