PORTERVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT


Information below is provided to The Recorder by the Porterville Police Department. It is noted that only arrests are reported and the suspects have not been found guilty of any crime.

Indecent Exposure


An officer responded to the 1500 block of West Tomah Avenue regarding a report of indecent exposure. A female adult stated that an unknown white male adult in a older model 4-door white passenger car pulled up next to her as she was walking and exposed himself. The female kept walking and the male subject drove away.



School Resource Officers:
Assault on School Staff / Possession of Marijuana on School Grounds


Officers responded to Citrus High School for a student who had pushed a school staff member. Upon arrival, officers were informed the student pushed a campus supervisor after the student had been brought to the school’s front office for being in possession of marijuana. The juvenile was cited to the Porterville Police Juvenile Diversion Program for the violations.



Felony Warrant


Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1200 block of West Henderson and contacted Eric Hivley, 31, who was a passenger in the vehicle. Hivley had a felony warrant and was arrested. Hivley was booked at the substation.



Violation of Domestic Violence Restraining Order


Officers responded to the 600 block of East Orange Avenue regarding a restraining order violation. The victim reported her ex-husband, Gilberto Ibarra, 29, had been driving by her residence and texting her in violation of an active Domestic Violence restraining order. Ibarra is living at an unknown location in Porterville and he is being sought by police for questioning.
