Rollin' Relics to collect Toys for Tots

The Rollin’ Relics Car Club will collect toys for area children at its monthly cruise night Friday, Dec. 7.

The community is invited to drop off unwrapped toys for needy children at the Pizza Factory parking lot, corner of Henderson and Porter Road, between 5 and 7 p.m.

The club has supported various organizations in the past years with their toy drives, but this year the toys will go to Toys for Tots. Porterville Toys for Tots Coordinator targets families in need with input from schools. Without this toy drive many of the local children would have a very limited Christmas.

All types of unwrapped toys are welcome, but a stuffed animal will put a certain sparkle in the eye of a child. Cash donations to go towards the purchase of toys will also be accepted.

The club still invites the community to bring their classic, hot rod, custom car, finished or not to display at the Show and Shine Cruise Night. There is no fee for displaying your car, but bringing a donation toy is encouraged. This will be the last cruise night before going to the winter schedule for the months of January and February.
