Four people hurt in single car accident

A single vehicle accident left one person with moderate injuries and three with minor injuries Friday afternoon.
Driver Catalina Valdez was driving northbound about 3 p.m. on Friday on Road 208 north of Avenue 164 at approximately 55 mph when a large bird walked into her driving path, he told CHP officers. Valdez then maneuvered her vehicle off the eastside of the roadway to avoid this hazard. As she steered back onto the roadway she over corrected and left the east side of the roadway a second time when she overturned the vehicle and collided with a utility pole.
Three of the victims, a 9-year-old girl, a 5-year-old boy and Valdez, were taken to Community Regional Medical Center, Fresno. Josephine Alanzo, a 19-year-old female suffered minor injuries, but sought aid on her own.
