Thief breaks into parked big rig near Richgrove

RICHGROVE — A thief broke into a parked big rig overnight Monday and stole more than $1,000 worth of video equipment.

Tulare County sheriff’s deputies responded at 2:25 a.m. Tuesday to a residential neighborhood on County Line Road west of Road 152 to investigate.

Earnest Ramos said someone broke into a 2006 Freightliner truck he had parked at that location, authorities report.

The break-in reportedly occurred between 10 p.m. Monday and 2:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Video equipment valued at $1,220 was stolen. The victim was identified as Apex Bulk Commodities.
