Delano man jailed in Richgrove child sex case

RICHGROVE — A Delano man was arrested this week after a child reported having sex with him.

Tulare County Sheriff’s deputies were sent at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday to a home in Richgrove to investigate.

There the victim, whose age and gender were not released, reported having unlawful sex with Merejildo Rivera Guerrero, 20, of Delano, authorities report.

The incident reportedly occurred about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. The general area of the alleged incident, beyond the reference to Richgrove, was not released.

Guerrero was booked into the Porterville substation on suspicion of having unlawful sex with a minor and digital penetration. His bail was set at $60,000.
