Richgrove area sees rash of vehicle break-ins

RICHGROVE — Thieves made quick work in a vehicle burglary spree Sunday that left three victims in its wake.

Tulare County Sheriff deputies responded at 10 p.m. to the 20900 block of Avenue 8 in Richgrove to investigate three reported vehicle burglaries.

Upon arriving, the deputies were contacted by three victims.

A person from Pancho’s Used Cars, who was not identified, told deputies that sometime between 5:30 and 9:50 p.m., an unknown person or people broke into his vehicle and stole his stereo, the Sheriff's Department reports. The estimated loss was unknown at the time of the report.

Martin Murillo, who lives in the same block of Avenue 8, told deputies someone had broken into his vehicle and stole miscellaneous CDs, the Sheriff's Department reports. Murillo estimated the loss and damage to his vehicle at about $85.

Finally, Minerva Ramirez told deputies someone broke into her car, which was parked at a home on the block, and stole her stereo, the Sheriff's Department reports. Ramirez estimated the loss to be $600.

All three cases are under investigation.
