Crime blotter 2/4/13
Information below is provided to The Recorder by the Porterville Police Department. It should be noted that only arrests are reported, and the suspects have not been found guilty of any crime.

Burglary
Officers were dispatched to the 800 block of East Olive Avenue regarding a burglary. The victim reported that suspect(s) forced entry into his vacant rental property. Once inside, the subject(s) took copper wire from the residence’s interior walls. The subject(s) also caused several thousand dollars in damage to the walls when they were removing the wire.
Located Stolen Vehicle
Officers were contacted by a victim in the lobby of the police department regarding a stolen vehicle. The victim stated subject(s) took his blue 2000 Chevy Silverado truck from the 500 block of South Main Street. The vehicle was found abandoned last night in Poplar and had apparently been involved in a traffic collision.
Felony Warrant
Officers contacted Julie Chavez, 42, walking in the area of Olive Avenue and Villa Street. Chavez had two warrants for her arrest, one a felony. She was arrested without incident and later booked at the substation.
