Crime Blotter 09/21/12
Information below is provided to The Recorder by the Porterville Police Department. It is noted that only arrests are reported and the suspects have not been found guilty of any crime.
Friday, Sept. 21
Vehicle Burglary
Officers investigated the report of an overnight window smash burglary in the 200 block of West Tomah Avenue. The victim reported the loss of a video game system and her purse which had been left in the vehicle.
Driving Under the Influence
Officers conducted a traffic stop on Olive Avenue. Simona Millan, 53, failed a series of field sobriety tests and she was arrested.
Domestic Battery
Officers were dispatched to the 300 block of East Springville Court regarding a disturbance. When they arrived, the victim was contacted and reported her boyfriend, Tony Tanner, 45, struck her during an argument. Tanner was arrested for domestic battery and was later booked at the substation.
DUI Checkpoint / Saturation Patrol
A DUI checkpoint and saturation detail was conducted. More than 200 vehicles were screened with 17 citations issued and six vehicles towed.
