Psyllid quarantine scaled back to 5-mile radius
December 03, 2012 11:28 AM
The USDA and Tulare County Agriculture jointly announced this morning that a limited quarantine is being put into place because of the discovery of the Asian citrus psyllid discovered in three Strathmore and Terra Bella areas recently.
Officials are calling the limited quarantine an interim deliberative approach, entailing the same rules as a quarantine but limited to a five-mile radius around the areas where the psyllid was discovered.
