THE PORTERVILLE RECORDER

While searching the home of a 52-year-old Lindsay woman Thursday afternoon, sheriffs deputies reportedly found crystal methamphetamine, processed marijuana and other illegal pills.

They arrested the woman, Melba Redmon, who is now being held at the Bob Wiley Detention Center on $30,000 bail. She faces multiple drug charges, including possession, possession for sale of methamphetamine, marijuana and other controlled substances that were in pill form.

At about 1 p.m. detectives from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Division, along with personnel from the Interagency Narcotic Enforcement Team, wrapped up an investigation by serving a search warrant at Redmon’s residence in the 24800 block of Avenue 236.

They also arrested Vincent Nino, 46, on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance. He was booked into the Porterville substation with bail set at $5,000.

Thomas Yarbro, 23 years, was arrested on suspicion being under the influence of a controlled substance and for two outstanding arrest warrants.  He was also booked into the sheriff’s Porterville substation with bail set at $25,000.
