Man held in connection with stolen property

PORTERVILLE
Porterville Police Officers arrested Jose Borquez, 28 of Porterville, on two outstanding warrants and suspicion of possession of stolen property.
Officers went to the 1500 block of West Henderson Avenue early Friday regarding a citizen reporting suspicious subjects. Officers contacted Borquez and discovered he had two outstanding warrants and was arrested.
Borquez was also in possession of a backpack that contained personal documents that had been reported as stolen to the Porterville Police Department on Oct 4, 2012.
The stolen property was returned to the owner and Borquez was booked into the Tulare County Jail. He is being held in lieu of $40,000 bail.
