Suspects back in jail after release on bail
PORTERVILLE
Deputies from the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department responded to the intersection of Avenue 144 and Road 208 at 4:30 a.m. Thursday for a report of theft.
Upon arrival they found two subjects in the process of removing copper wire from a private property pole. The owner of the property was contacted. He stated that no one had permission to remove copper wire from his property.
Deputies discovered that the two suspects, Ricky Hauk 35, and Daniel Wilson, 37, both of Porterville, were both out on bail for previous crimes. The two men have been charged with allegations of grand theft, felony vandalism, and for committing a crime while out on bail. Both suspects were arrested and book into the Porterville substation. Bail was set at $45,000.
