Pair held in residential burglary
PORTERVILLE
Two Porterville residents, Michael Glen Wall, 35, and Crystal Elizabeth Wall, 30, were taken into custody by Porterville Police on suspicion of burglarizing a neighbor’s home.
Police were called to the 300 block of East Poplar Avenue just before 4 a.m. Thrusday on a report of an attempted burglary of an inhabited residence that just occurred.
Two people were reported running from the residence as officers were en route. When they arrived, they found evidence that led them to a nearby residence where two were arrested.
Police said officers located property stolen from the residence in addition to property reported stolen earlier during the month.
A later search of the home recovered approximately 70% of property that had been stolen from the victim over the past month, police report. The property was returned to the victim and the suspects were booked for possession of stolen property and burglary.
The couple is facing charges of burglary and possession of stolen property.
