Porterville resident Michael Chaparro, 40, reported that he had been struck several times with a metal chair during a fight with a known suspect.

The incident allegedly occurred at 9 p.m. on Friday.

Deputies responded to the report of an alleged assault in the area of the 400 block of N. Reservation Road.

The suspect, 44, remains unnamed but is also from Porterville.
