THE PORTERVILLE

A woman reported her step-son to police Tuesday for purchasing about $1,800 in merchandise with her credit card.

The woman, who was not identified by police, told Officer Rob Meier of the Porterville Police Department that her step-son, Michael Todd, 25, ordered the items from Home Depot Online and the Home Shopping Network using credit card information he obtained without her knowledge or permission.

Police went to Todd’s home in the 2200 block of West Belleview Avenue and arrested him.

While at Todd’s home, police recovered about $1,000 worth of merchandise, including an air conditioner.

Todd was booked into the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department Porterville Substation for suspicion of fraudulent use of an access card.
