Traffic stop leads to man's drug-related arrest

PIXLEY — A Pixley man was arrested late Thursday for suspected drug use after authorities allegedly found him high during a traffic stop.

Tulare County sheriff’s deputies conducted the traffic stop at 11 p.m. at North Pine Street and East Ellsworth Avenue in Pixley.

John Wesley Ptomey, 48, was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance, the Sheriff’s Department reports. He was booked into the Main Jail.
