Thief hits Pixley market, robs clerk at gunpoint

PIXLEY — Someone entered Carnicera Market brandishing a firearm mid-week and robbed the cashier at gunpoint.

Tulare County deputies were dispatched at a little after 4 p.m. to the market, located on the 700 block of Main Street, to investigate a robbery that had just occurred at 4 p.m.

The female victim, 23, reportedly told deputies the suspect entered her place of business, brandished the firearm and demanded money from the cash register. The suspect took the money and fled.

The victim did no need medical attention. The loss was estimated to be about $500.
