Dogs will be in spotlight today

PIERPOINT SPRINGS
A new dog show featuring local mountain dogs will take place from 2-4 p.m. today at Pierpoint Springs Resort. An entrance fee is not required.
Hosted by the Sierra Veterinary Center of Porterville, the show will feature a judging of dogs which live in the mountains of Camp Nelson and Pierpoint, by a panel of local residents who will be the judges. Dr. Charles Albers of the SVC says that there will be 25 categories including one for the largest ears and the shortest legs.
A barbecue will follow at 4 p.m.
