Parolee allegedly punches girlfriend in the face

Police arrested Robert Gardner, 42 of Porterville, Friday after his girlfriend told officers he punched her in the face during an argument.
According to the Porterville Police Department, officers responded to the 1400 block of West Tomah Avenue at around 3 p.m. Friday for reports of domestic violence. When they arrived, Gardner reportedly fled on foot. He was later located in the area by officers.
Gardner, who is on active parole, was arrested and booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department on suspicion of causing injury to a cohabitant and for a parole violation.
