Information below is provided to The Recorder by the Porterville Police Department. It is noted that only arrests are reported and the suspects have not been found guilty of any crime.

Burglary
Officers responded to the 500 block of West Memory Avenue regarding a residential burglary. The victim stated that suspects forced entry through the rear door and stole miscellaneous items. Physical evidence was located at the scene and the case remains under investigation.
Domestic Battery / Vandalism
Officers responded to the 500 block of North Third Street regarding a disturbance between a male and female. Officers arrived and contacted the female who reported that her boyfriend, Keven Kent, 28, grabbed her by the neck and shoved her up against a vehicle during an argument. The victim was able to escape from Kent by fleeing into a vehicle and locking the doors. Kent chased her and ripped the door handle off of the car while trying to attack the victim again. Officers located Kent and he was arrested without incident.
Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance
Officers responded to Sierra View District Hospital regarding a female who was possibly under the influence of a controlled substance reported by medical staff. Officers contacted Yvette Carranza, 30, who denied being under the influence of a controlled substance; however, she was in possession of a vial of white powdery substance labeled “Bubbles.” The substance was later determined to be a form of bath salts. Carranza had brought her 3-month-old baby to the Emergency Room because he had trouble breathing. The “bath salts” were seized and Carranza was arrested for being under the influence of a controlled substance. The child was turned over to the custody of Child Welfare Services.
Warrant Arrest
Officers responded to Motel Six regarding an argument between a male and female. Officers contacted the female, Griselda Resendiz, 31, and she had a warrant for her arrest. Resendiz was arrested for her warrant and later booked.
Warrant Arrest
Officers contacted Angela Hernandez, 30, in the 1500 block of West Tomah Avenue.
Hernandez had an active warrant for her arrest and she was booked at Bob Wiley Detention Facility.

Officers contacted Amanda Pickett, 19, regarding possible drug activity. She had a warrant for her arrest and was booked.
Warrant
Officers responded to the 100 block of West School Avenue regarding an unwanted subject.
Cameron Enge was contacted and had a warrant. He was arrested and booked.
Public Intoxication / Resist Arrest / Probation Violation
Officers responded to Mulberry Avenue and Prospect Street regarding a possible fight at that location. Upon arrival, Martin Rubalcava, 24, was intoxicated and attempted to run from officers. He was subsequently taken into custody and booked at TCSO.
Public Intoxication
A 14-year-old juvenile was contacted during a Granite Hills football game and determined to be intoxicated. He was cited to the Juvenile Diversion Program and released to his parents.
Parole Violation
Officers contacted Cesar Regalado, 27, at Newcomb Street and Putnam Avenue during an unwanted subject call. He had a parole warrant and was taken into custody and booked.
Assault with a Deadly Weapon / Mental Heath Evaluation
Officers were dispatched to Sunrise Handy Market regarding Michael Harris, 23, stating he had a knife and was going to stab someone. Officers located Harris on Poplar Avenue at Mesa Oak. Harris brandished a knife at officers and he was subdued after the use of a Taser. Harris was taken into custody without further incident.
Burglary
Officers responded to the 700 block of South Indiana Street regarding a vehicle burglary report. The victim reported that suspect(s) smashed his vehicle window to his Nissan Maxima and took his cell phone.
