CCAPW offering scholarships

The Central California Asian Pacific Women’s organization is offering scholarships for young Asian or Pacific Islander women entering or continuing in undergraduate or graduate studies, or reentering a college or university for the 2013-2014 academic year.

Applicants must reside in Fresno, Kern, Tulare, Kings, Mariposa, Merced or Madera counties.

The selection criteria includes academic achievement, extracurricular activities and financial need. The program has provided young Asian and Pacific Islander women — the majority of whom are immigrants or former refugees and the first in their families to attend college — with minimal financial assistance to pursue a higher education.
