Symphony concert features popular film music
Last year’s most popular (and sold out) concert was a new tradition for the Tulare County Symphony — an evening of movie music.
On Saturday, Feb. 4, the orchestra will continue this tradition with a concert featuring music from such films as “Aliens,” “Avatar,” “Harry Potter,” “Lord of the Rings” and “Memoirs of a Geisha.”
Making the evening even more fun is Music Director Bruce Kiesling’s wonderful commentary on the films. A composer of film music himself, he always has fun, behind-the-scenes stories to go with the music.
The concert is at 7:30 p.m. at the Visalia Fox Theatre.
Tickets are $17.50 to $37.50 with student prices at $8. Contact the symphony at 732-8600 or go to www.tcsymphony.org.
