Ex-band volunteer accused of child molestation

Tulare County Sheriff’s detectives arrested 22-year-old Franco Toledo of Woodville Wednesday on suspicion of child molestation.

Toledo, a former volunteer for the Granite Hills High School band and the Pioneer Middle School band, is being held in lieu of $300,000 bail at the Tulare County Main Jail.

According to reports, on Sept. 29 the Sheriff’s Department’s Crimes Against Children, Investigations Unit was contacted by Tulare County Child Welfare Services regarding a juvenile who reported having been sexually assaulted by Toledo.

The Sheriff’s Department reports that Toledo was also employed with the Youth Experience Success Program through the Porterville Unified School District.
