New Lindsay council members to be sworn in
Rosaena Sanchez, Steven Mecum and Councilmember Pamela Kimball will be sworn in for the Nov. 2012 to Nov. 2016 term at the city council meeting on Tuesday. Mecum and Sanchez were two of the three challengers in November’s heated election against incumbents Kimball, Mayor Ed Murray and Mayor Pro Tem Esteban Velasquez.
A resolution to accept the certified results of the 2012 municipal election will be presented.
Following this item will be the selection of both the Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem for the Nov. 2012 to Nov. 2014 term. The first two actions will be conducted by City Clerk Carmela Wilson. The last will be conducted by the newly selected Mayor.
The council will also consider the acceptance of the Treasurers report which listed total November expenditures as $1,383,529 with a total cash balance as of Nov. 30 at $682,737.26
The council will also consider:
-Adopting the McDermont Event Fee Schedule.
-Extending a Cooperative Fire Agreement to Dec. 31 2013.
-The placement of the City Park Plaque.
The Lindsay City Council is scheduled to meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the Council Chambers at City Hall, 251 E. Honolulu St., Lindsay.
