Fill the Satchel for MDA Saturday

PORTERVILLE

The National Association of Letter Carriers Union, Branch 1469, Porterville and Lindsay, will have a Fill the Satchel for MDA booth set up from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the Firehouse Chili Cook-Off.

They will be accepting donations for the Muscular Distrophy Association, the top charity of the Letter Carriers Union. The union has been collecting donations for MDA since 1952 and was the first national sponsor of MDA. Over the past six decades, the Letter Carriers have raised more than $110 million nationwide for MDA.

Muscular Distrophy attacks muscles, organs, and the nervous system. More than 1 million children and adults in America today are living with MD.
