A man and woman are behind bars after disturbing the peace at Motel 6.

The Porterville Police Department said that at 11:05 p.m. Monday, officers learned 28-year-old Sarah Sanchez was staying at Motel 6 with Brad McGee.
Sanchez had three warrants for her arrest and McGee was not supposed to be on the property, hotel staff told police.

Officers contacted the pair in a motel room. Sanchez was arrested for the warrants and McGee was told to leave the premises or be subject to arrest.

McGee agreed to leave and Sanchez was later booked at the Bob Wiley Detention Facility for the warrants.

Police said that about 40 minutes later, officers were dispatched back to the motel regarding McGee who was fighting with hotel staff.

When officers arrived, McGee had fled the scene.

The manager said that after officers left the first time, McGee became angry and threatened to stab the clerks.

McGee was located moments later at the Palm Tree Inn and was arrested and booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department.
