Crime blotter 3/16/13
Information below is provided to The Recorder by the Porterville Police Department. It should be noted that only arrests are reported, and the suspects have not been found guilty of any crime.

Petty Theft
Officers responded to 1012 West Henderson Avenue regarding a theft that had just occurred. The store clerk recognized the suspect as David McCombie, 29, and stated McCombie entered the store and stole a bottle of liquor. McCombie left the store and was last seen westbound through the parking lot. The area was searched for McCombie; however, he was not located. An attempt was made to contact McCombie at his residence; however, his father stated that McCombie is living on the streets.
Vandalism
Officers responded to the 400 block of East Cleveland Avenue regarding a disturbance. Officers arrived and contacted several intoxicated subjects, including the homeowners, Deanna Tillery, 36, and Robert Tillery, 39. It was reported by them that Deanna’s ex-husband, Darin Wheeler, 46, came to their residence and broke out several windows and slashed the tires of both Deanna and Robert’s vehicles. Officers later responded to Darin’s residence on Avenue 120.
While responding, TCSO had been called by Wheeler regarding a home invasion report after Deanna, Robert and several other subjects arrived at his residence to take Deanna’s 9-year-old son, whom she and Darin share custody. TCSO subsequently arrested Deanna for charges relating to the incident at Darin’s residence. Darin was arrested for charges related to the incident at Deanna’s residence. Both were transported and booked into the custody of TCSO.
Warrant Arrest
Officers responded to Sierra View District Hospital and contacted Daneka Stephens, 32, who had two warrants for her arrest. Stephens was arrested and booked for her warrant at the Porterville Substation.
Child Endangerment
Officers responded to a residence in the sub-100 block of North Wisconsin Street regarding a possible overdose. Officers arrived and discovered Twyla Castaneda, 30, had passed out in her bedroom from taking Soma pills that were not prescribed to her. Also inside her bedroom was her 4-month old male infant child who was crying and had vomited. The infant went unnoticed by Castaneda while she was passed out on the floor. The baby and Castaneda were transported to SVDH for medical attention. The baby was subsequently released to CWS. Castaneda was cleared, arrested and later booked into jail for child endangerment.
