Two-story Porterville home burns

A general alarm was called about 9:30 this morning when a fire broke out at a two-story home in the 400 block of West Belleview Avenue.

Upon arrival just after 9 a.m., firefighters said the back of the home was fully engulfed in flames and shortly after that called for the general alarm to provide additional assistance from the Tulare County Fire Department and Calfire.

Streets are closed in the area and power lines are down. People are advised to stay out of the area.
