Governor appoints local to physician assistant board

TULARE — Jed Grant, 42, of Tulare has been appointed to the California Physician Assistant Board by Gov. Jerry Brown.
Grant has been an emergency medicine physician assistant at CEP America since 2011, a reserve police officer in Visalia since 2009 and a physician assistant program instructor at San Joaquin Valley College since 2003. He was a lead physician assistant at Sierra View District Hospital from 2007 to 2011 and a lead physician assistant for CEP America from 2000 to 2007.
