Teen boys injured in ATV versus SUV crash
LINDSAY —Two teenage boys were hospitalized late Sunday after an SUV struck the all-terrain vehicle they were riding.
The accident happened at 12:53 p.m. at Road 188 and Avenue 208. According to the California Highway Patrol, the teens were traveling north on Road 188, at 30 to 35 mph and didn’t stop for a posted stop sign. The ATV traveled directly into the path of the westbound SUV, which was going approximately 55 mph, causing the crash.
The teens, a 17-year-old male driver and a second teen whose name has not been released, were taken to Kaweah Delta Medial Center for moderate injuries.
The driver of the SUV, identified as 30-year-old Ricardo Baeza of Strathmore, was not injured.
