Bring out the brewskies
Seventh annual brewfest Saturday
Beer, music and food will be on tap 2-6 p.m. on Saturday at the seventh annual Lindsay Brewfest which will be held at the Sweet Brier Plaza.
The fundraiser is put on by the Lindsay Community Theater.
“It’s the only one we do during the year. It helps to keep the theater going,” said Jim Kliegl, the Lindsay theater manager who added that the funds raised will be used for maintenance and improving the outside of the building.
The event will feature 40 to 50 different beers. Local breweries including Fat Boyz, the Orange Bar and the Tulare County Home Brewers Association will be on hand to serve their products.
Entertainment will be provided by a live band from Tulare.
Food, including barbecue, sausages and sandwiches, will be included in the ticket price.
Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. Designated Drivers will not be charged. For designated drivers sodas will be available for sale.
Tickets are available at Virginia’s Hair Studio, Fat Boyz, Tony’s Pizza, The Orange Bar, McDermont Field House and at Brewbakers in Visalia.
