Library introduces do-it-yourself car upkeep program

The Porterville City Library has partnered with ChiltonLibrary to provide library users with a free, online do-it-yourself automotive repair resource.

The tool can be accessed from the library or from a home Internet connection by users that have an active library card account.

ChiltonLibrary provides users with decades of data that will help with vehicle maintenance. It also provides exclusive photographs, diagnostics, step-by-step repair procedures, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintenance schedules, wiring diagrams, recalls and Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) for automobiles and light trucks.
