Kohls offering $10,000 kid scholarship

The deadline for the Kohls Cares Scholarship Program — for young volunteers, ages 6 to 18 who have not graduated from high school — is March 15.

Nominations may be submitted online through 11:59 p.m. Friday.

Documents, information and the registration process are available online at Kohls.com/cares.

Winners are based on the benefits and outcomes of the volunteer service, with store winners awarded a $50 Kohl’s gift card, regional winners $1,000 for higher education and national winners $10,000 in scholarships. In addition, Kohl’s will also donate $1,000 to a nonprofit organization of the student’s choice.

All nominators must be age 21 or older.
