Input sought on increase in park campsite fees
Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks is seeking input about proposed price increases for three large group campsites in the Cedar Grove area of Kings Canyon National Park. The campsites — A, C and D — which accommodate 20 to 40 people each, are located in Canyon View Campground.
The increase would raise the price of each campsite from $40 per night to $50 per night to bring the price structure into alignment with other similar large campsites in the parks. Public comments must be received by March 24 and may be submitted in two ways. Electronic submissions may be e-mailed to SEKI_Superintendent@nps.gov with the subject line: “Proposed Increase in Fees for Large Group Campsites” in the title. Written comments may be submitted by mail, or hand delivered to Superintendent Karen F. Taylor-Goodrich, Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks, Attn: Proposed Increase in Fees for Large Group Campsites, 47050 Generals Highway, Three Rivers, CA 93271.
Faxed comments will be accepted at 565-4202.
