Guadalupe Higareda

Guadalupe "Lupe" Higareda, a resident of Porterville, died there Sunday, Feb. 13, 2005. She was 73.

Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Myers Chapel in Porterville.

A vigil service will be at 6 p.m. Thursday at Myers Chapel in Porterville.

A Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Porterville.

Interment will be at St. Anne's Cemetery in Porterville.

Mrs. Higareda was a native of Michoacan, Mexico, and a resident of Porterville for 44 years. She was a member of St. Anne's Catholic Church and the Guadalupano's.

She is survived by six daughters, Martha Lizarraga, Teresa Higareda-Ortiz, Magdalena Higareda, MariLu Higareda, Rosalinda Higareda, and Maria Del Rosario, all of Porterville; two sons, Frank Higareda Jr. and Richard Higareda, both of Porterville; one sister, Maria Magallon of Mexico; 15 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Francisco Higareda, in December 2004.
