Crash sends Harley driver to Fresno hospital

A motorcyclist is being treated at a Fresno hospital after she crashed with a car U-turning on Plano Street, north of Scranton Avenue on Tuesday.

According to the California Highway Patrol, at 11:37 a.m., the driver of the 2007 Harley Davidson, Joyann Williams, 48, of Porterville, was south on Plano Street when the driver of a 2006 Chevrolet made a U-turn, forcing the Harley southwest before overturning into an open field on the corner of Scranton Avenue.

Williams was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno for major injuries.

Gomez was wearing her seat belt and did not suffer any injuries.

The CHP continues to investigate the crash.
