Police report uneventful Halloween

Halloween night proved to be safe for trick-or-treaters, the Porterville Police Department reported.

“It was uneventful. We didn’t have any events related to Halloween,” said Office Dominic Barteau, the public information officer for the department.

He added that the PPD did have additional officers out on the street and the traffic unit was out conducting a DUI Saturation Patrol. According to Barteau, there were no motor vehicle versus pedestrian accidents and all sex registrants were in compliance.
