El Granito's 39th annual Holiday Kickoff begins Nov. 1

The El Granito Foundation’s 39th annual Holiday Kickoff will launch Nov. 1 with sign-ups for a free Thanksgiving dinner and food baskets.  

Those interested in receiving food baskets can sign up at the two following locations:

•  Porterville sign-ups between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Nov. 1-3 and Nov. 8-10 at 383 W. Date Ave.

• Plainview sign-ups between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Nov. 4 at 19667 Ave. 195

The Thanksgiving basket give-away will take place from noon to 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 383 W. Date Ave. A second basket give-away will take place from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 19667 Avenue 195 in Plainview.

The annual Thanksgiving dinner will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 21, also at 383 W. Date Ave.

The foundation is also launching its annual toy, food and jacket drive for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

It is currently in need of non-perishable canned goods, food products including turkeys, volunteers, children’s toys, jackets and cash donations (fully tax deductible).

Thanksgiving items can be dropped off from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday-Friday from Nov. 1-20 at 383 W. Date Ave.

Christmas donation items can be dropped off at the same time and location from Dec. 1-18.
