3 Fresno suspects arrested for allegedly cashing fraudulent checks

PIXLEY — Deputies arrested three suspects after they allegedly cashed fraudulent checks using false identification at the Pixley A & A Shell store.

The owner of the store contacted the Sheriff’s Department at 3 p.m. on Thursday, after becoming suspicious of suspects Manuel Soto, 52, Faustino Flores, 37, and Tiburcio Barajas, 32, after they entered his store and cashed the checks.

Deputies located one suspect and later detained two other suspects in a vehicle in which they located numerous fraudulent checks. Losses totaled $2,374.90.

All suspects were arrested without incident in the area of the 500 block of E. Terra Bella Avenue. They were booked on suspicion of cashing fraudulent checks, using false identification, burglary and conspiracy.
